Our first week and a half of classes has been new and exciting in Beginning Spanish. We have started with the basics, the girls learning how to say, "What is your name," "How are you," and "Where are you from." We have been practicing the very different pronunciations of Espanol, learning vowels, and the alphabet. Our intimate class of three students allows there to be clear direction and plenty of practice. The girls have a ton of fun while learning too. One of the first days when they were learning, "Como te llamas," the girls came up with clever Spanish names...Livy as Paco, Stacy as Penelope, and Brianne as Giselle. Their names have stuck and when I call on them in class ths is what they are referred to as. Paco has become Paco during Spanish class and outside of Spanish class, it is rather amusing. Livy, Stacy, and Brianne are very engaged during class and enthusiastic about our lessons. They have been communicating in Spanish outside of class and are excited to learn how to say more in order to interact with the people we meet throughout our travels.
Gracias y Abrazos!
Phoebe
